Last week Mijn naam is Haas launched their new design last week at the Joint Venture event at Pakhuis de Zwijger. After months of hard work the characters of Haas and his friends are more colorful and very cute by now! As if it wasn’t busy enough the character designers found the time to draw a picture book about the new refined Haas. It will be in bookstores by September. And last but not least, the Guild Members were selected as one of the Sprout Business Babies.

E’s Pitch on video.

Although usually reserved for technology-driven inventions, Mijn Naam Is Haas, internal guild members since last year, managed to garner themselves a top-ten spot in the run down of the most promising New Venture submissions.

The New Venture competition, originally founded by consultancy firm McKinsey and Company, is the longest running and best known inventor’s competition within the Netherlands. Over a decade in existence, it has built a reputation for its product innovations that include the wind-resistant Senz umbrella, but also 1up toys Air Guitar toy.

This time, serious game Mijn Naam is Haas, which holds the middle between artistic content, educational tools and technological innovation, marks an exception to the general rule, as most successful submissions emanate from technical universities and polytechnics. (more…)
